In Wi about 6 years ago when the 1895 Chilean Mausers were at Gander Mountain sporting stores, they got rid of the. I would still like to know if it is considered a safe conversion? But then people are paying $350 for a stinking Russian Mosin 91/30. Maybe, They would probably go down to $250. I would think one with that nice stock, matching with cleaning rod, a crest and in 7mm would be sold around $300. But, price always depends on your location, how many gun shows in the area, and how many are on the tables at the shows. Take it to a gun show and ask $ 300, I will bet it is offered to purchase at $150 or less because it's a Spanish Mauser- worse it's sterile. So lets say the value is at $150- 300 if its a nice one with that nice stock. Price is regional specific, barrel and stock condition, demand- Not Much, 7mm vs 308, matching, crest and sling, cleaning rod ? Any gun show will be lower than gun broker.

The Classic like beaters (former SAMCO Pallet stock) one guy had a stack of repair specials at $125 per junker in rough condition at the last big show. I don't own one, and was wondering what kind of collectors value these would have.I'm assuming not much value as a military rifle, correct? Or am I off on that assumption?Īt WI gun shows they go around $200-250, but only sell if they are in better condition like you state yours is. Samco global has some Spanish 1916 Mausers that have been converted: re-barreled, and had the bolt turned down by the Spanish into. I most likely will get remarks from the Spanish boys from this one! So check out the value of a Spanish 1916 Mauser in 7mm with crest and cut the value by 50% and ask if it is a safe conversion? If you dislike the cousin, I would just give him the rifle and get rid of it. Its Chilean Nato conversion with an insert is junk. I would rather have a Chilean or Brazilian original German made ( better quality steel and machining), 1895 long rifle and those are around $300-400 in great condition. It has an exceptional stock and the bolt is worth some cash. So, I would value it as a parts rifle at approximately $100-150. I am not up on these- so take what I say with a grain of salt. And Spanish Mausers are low rung, and I an not even sure it's a conversion that is safe. In my opinion I would want it original with a crest. 308 Nato.Ī Possible 1916 Spanish Mauser look at the front sight and band types you did not show any attributes in the photos:īuying a 1916 Spanish Mauser. The font of the "E" is a little different than the others. The bolt also matches this rifle but upon close examination, my gut feeling is that it has probably been re-stamped to match.
